This training course will give you an understanding of the recent issues and accounting standards which are part of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) reporting. As companies enter into arrangements with their global counterparts, an understanding of IFRS has become increasingly important.

This two day training explains the accounting processes for IFRS 9, 15 and 16. This training course will cover:

  • The scope, structure, contents and components of IFRS 9, 15 and 16 compliant financial statements, including underlying assumptions and related footnotes disclosures
  • Measurement and recognition of the various elements of international accounting principles and standards under study, including transition concerns
  • Revenue recognition and financial reporting requirements
  • Practical examples, Question and Answers, and case study to discuss issues you may be having in your application of IFRS standards.

Speaker: Stelios Ioannou

Stelios Ioannou holds a First Class degree in Accounting and Finance from the South Bank University in the UK and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Tax Law and Planning from RKC College in Zurich, Switzerland. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and practicing member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Stelios is a practicing GDPR Practitioner and an authorised lecturer from HRDA.

Stelios Ioannou is a dynamic, motivated and knowledgeable corporate partner of our academy, known for his excellent presentation skills and approachable training method. He has successfully delivered many seminars on IFRSs, International Tax, GDPR and ISQC1 Compliance in the past, where he demonstrated excellent technical knowledge providing life examples of application of the standards.
